![]() ![]() Supergemming is a strategy in GemCraft to making more powerful gems by increasing damage and fire rate without increasing the grade. The later games replace all of these skills with a single skill called "True Colors." Both versions of the skill provide a small bonus to pure gem damage every level, and a large bonus to dual, triple and even quad gems every few levels, with the latter bonus eventually outstripping the former. Labyrinth adds a Triple Gem Mastery which is more powerful than its dual counterpart.Prismatic Gem Mastery features in Chapter 0 and is weaker than the other masteries to compensate for the greater innate damage bonus and utility of Prismatic gems.Dual Gem Mastery appears in both of these games as well as Labyrinth, with Chapter 1 favoring pure gems and Chapter 0 favoring dual gems.Pure Gem Mastery is a skill in Chapter 1 and Chapter 0.The first three games include "masteries" which improve the range, damage, and fire rate of gems with a certain number of components. ![]() ![]() Skills can also add bonuses to gems based on the number of components, and even have a more significant impact than innate bonuses. After Labyrinth, gems can have any number of specials at the same time, but the more components a gem has, the more diluted and weak the specials become. In the first three games, gems with more components have no bonuses available to them, and can only exhibit three specials, with one exception - Prismatic gems, only found in Gemcraft Chapter 0: Gem of Eternity, have a strong bonus to damage and trigger all special effects, albeit less powerfully than with other gems. Dual gems have innate bonuses that improve their damage output in all games, and in the later games so do triple gems. Pure gems in all games have more powerful specials, but adding more components can still be beneficial - specials can synergize with each other, creating a gem that's more powerful than sum of its parts, and gems with more components get their own bonuses. Pure (single-color) and dual (two-color) gems are effective in every game the viability of gems with more components varies from game to game. The number of components a gem has is critical. 4.4 In GemCraft Chapter 2: Chasing Shadows.4.2 In GemCraft Chapter 0: Gem of Eternity. ![]()
